The was part of the Experience Music Project. It’s a museum in the Seattle Center near the Needle. There are several hundred guitars on this sculpture and its 3 stories high. They had a great exhibit of music from the Northwest with a lot of memoribila from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, TAD, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, Heart, Queensryche and a whole lot more. The highlights for me included Chris Cornell’s handwritten lyrics to Burden in My Hand, and the mixing board that recorded Nirvana’s Bleach and Soundgarden’s Screaming Life albums. Sadly, they did not allow pictures in that exhibit.
Michele and Katie from the observation deck of the Space Needle overlooking downtown Seattle. Surprisingly, it was a bit overcast. ;)
Pike Place Fish Market - the guy on the far left just completed a pass to the guy behind the counter. We got some scallops from here and they were awesome! Lots of entertainment and a Pike Place Market Institution.
Michele, Heather, & I went to see Multnomah Falls just North of Portland. Pretty amazing place and a heckuva 1.8 mile hike to the top. We also checked out Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. Even got to see a few fish come through the counting window. We crossed over at Bridge of the Gods and droveback to Portland via Washington State.![]()
