Devil's Tower trip

Madison - Thursday, July 4

The plan:

The day starts with a long-overdue first mtn bike ride of the year, at Cam-Rock park
Joan & Bob will be joining us at the Elvehjem Neighborhood 4th of July picnic
Tobie and Sitka get a vacation, too! They'll be staying w/Joan & Bob for a few days.
By late afternoon, it's time to head to Baraboo, to hang out with Dan & Amps & family.
Ranger will be disappointed that Tobie & Sitka didn't come with us...

What really happened...

Dean rode his bike for a quick test-ride around the block, just to check the derailleur before the trip. Michele dragged her mtn bike out of the basement and stuffed it in the car. Who needs a test-ride, anyway??
Joan, Bob, Amy, and Maggie joined us for the fun at the ENA picnic. Norm, Laurel, & Ian hung out with us, too!
Tobie & Sitka are probably frantically searching for kitties right about now.
To add to the long list of stupid things that Michele has absentmindedly done lately, she left BOTH cameras in the back of Joan's car, and didn't realize it until Joan was almost all the way home (1 1/2 hrs away). Joan was VERY KIND and immediately turned the car around and drove back toward Madison to deliver the cameras. Hard to take digital pics for a website without a camera...
Dinner with the School (name, not location!) gang in Baraboo. Amps makes the BEST vinaigrette, among many other things (like strawberry shortcake)!
The group enjoyed the spectacular Baraboo fireworks display. Michele stayed in the house to work on the website :)
